About Setu
We build software the way operators wish someone would
Setu Technology started with one question: why does business software make running a business harder, not easier?
Our story
Setu means 'bridge' — and that's exactly what we set out to build: a bridge between how businesses actually run day-to-day, and the software meant to support them.
We started with restaurants because the problem was the clearest there — billing mistakes during rush hour, kitchen orders going wrong, owners with no visibility across outlets. Setu POS was built directly with restaurant owners, outlet managers and kitchen staff, not in a boardroom.
What we learned building Setu POS — about GST, multi-outlet operations, and what business owners in India and Southeast Asia actually need — is now the foundation for everything else we build.
Our mission
To build practical, honest software for every kind of business across India and Southeast Asia — starting with restaurants, and expanding one industry at a time.
How we work
Operator-first
Every feature starts with a real business owner's problem, not a feature checklist.
Built for this region
GST, local payments, multi-currency and local context are the default, not an add-on.
Honest, not hyped
We'd rather under-promise and show you the product than oversell it.
