Setu Workflow — Coming Soon

Practice Management Software for CA & Accounting Firms

Every client, engagement, workflow stage, checklist, review point and hour your team works — in one place, so partners know where every job stands without chasing anyone for an update.

Paid product · In development

Setu Workflow is a paid, multi-user cloud product. It is in development and will launch soon — pricing will be announced at launch.

Why we're building it

Most firms run their practice on a spreadsheet of due dates, a WhatsApp group for review notes and a manager's memory of who is doing what. It works until the busy season, when a return sits in review for a week because nobody noticed it was waiting, or a query to the client was answered and then lost in a thread.

Setu Workflow gives the whole firm one record of the work: which engagements are open, which stage each one is in and who owns it, what is still outstanding on the checklist, which review points are blocking sign-off, and how the hours spent compare with the budget.

What's inside

Built as one connected system — Firm → Client → Engagement → Workflow → Checklist & Points — not a set of separate tools.

Client Master

Client records with entity type, addresses, contacts, service lines and an owner. Custom fields, full activity history, search and filters, plus CSV import, export and bulk updates.

Engagement Master

Every job linked to its client, with type, period, due dates, priority and budgeted hours. Partner, Manager, Reviewer and Preparer staffing, lifecycle history and record-level access.

Workflow templates & stages

Build versioned templates once — Preparation, Review, Partner sign-off — and apply them to engagements. Move work forward, return it, reassign or reopen, with every movement and stage age recorded.

Checklists

Stage-wise checklist items with owners, due dates and required flags. Required items gate the workflow, completions and reopenings are logged, and each person has their own checklist queue.

Queries & review points

Client questions, review points, instructions and internal issues in one numbered thread per engagement. Explicit resolve and reopen, aging in days, and blocking points that hold the workflow until cleared.

Work allocation

Plan dated hours for each person across engagements, preview before saving, reassign or cancel with history, and see a budget comparison before you commit the team's week.

Time & budget

Staff log actual hours against engagements and stages from My Time. Budget, planned, actual and remaining hours for every engagement, with warnings at 80%, 90% and over budget.

Team capacity

Weekly capacity, planned load and available hours for every person, adjusted for leave, training and holidays. Find who is free before assigning the next job.

Dashboard & reports

A Needs Attention view for overdue engagements, blocking points, stalled stages and budget overruns, plus engagement health, deadlines and exportable management reports.

Built for the way a firm actually runs

Partners & managers

See every engagement's stage, blocker and budget at a glance, and drill into exceptions instead of asking for a status update.

Reviewers

Raise numbered review points against a stage or checklist item, track responses and mark them resolved only when they are.

Staff

Open My Work and My Day to see exactly what is assigned, what is due and what is waiting — then log the hours against it.

Built for firm data

  • Each firm's data is isolated from every other firm's
  • Custom roles with granular permissions
  • Record-level visibility for engagements
  • Full audit trail of every change and movement
  • Firm-level timezone for due dates and aging
  • Secure login, invitations and password reset
