QR Menu
Also called: digital menu, scan to order menu
What is QR Menu?
A QR menu is a digital menu customers open by scanning a code at the table. It can be view-only or extend to ordering and payment from the same screen.
Why QR Menu matters
Prices and availability change constantly, and reprinting menus is slow and expensive. A digital menu updates instantly, and an item marked unavailable stops being ordered immediately.
How QR Menu works in practice
Keep the menu fast to load on a weak connection and readable on a small screen. Where ordering is enabled, it also shortens the gap between seating and the kitchen receiving the order.
Frequently asked questions
Many restaurants keep a few printed copies for guests who prefer them, and use QR as the default.
