Token System

What is Token System?
A token system issues a number with each order and calls or displays it when the order is ready. It is standard in quick service restaurants, food courts and pharmacy counters.
Why Token System matters
Tokens remove crowding at the counter and the constant interruption of customers asking whether their order is ready. Both slow service more than the kitchen does.
How Token System works in practice
Display the token prominently, keep the sequence visible, and show an approximate wait where possible. Crowds form when people cannot see progress, not merely when they are waiting.
