Ask ten Indian shopkeepers what they bill with and a good number will say Vyapar. It earned that position honestly — it was one of the first apps to put a proper GST invoice on an Android phone, and for a lot of businesses it replaced a duplicate book and a calculator in one go.

But "free" does a lot of work in that sentence. The Android app being free for life is real and it matters. The catch is what "premium" covers: multi-user access with role-based access, desktop use, some print and report options, and the deeper inventory features. If your billing lives on one phone and you never need a second user, you may never pay. If you grow a counter, a back office and a second outlet, you will.

The second thing to understand is where the data lives. Vyapar stores your company file on the device (with backup and sync options), which is fine — until you want it somewhere else. Be honest about this before you switch anything.

You need history. A browser tool that forgets is useless if a customer calls about invoice #217 from March. Vyapar keeps every invoice, every party and every payment, and lets you search them.
