Your business name
This is how your details appear on receipts, invoices and labels across Setu tools.
What is a business profile?
A business profile is the master copy of the details that identify your business on everything you hand to a customer or supplier: trading name, address, phone, email, GSTIN, UPI ID and logo. One master copy matters more than it sounds. When a receipt shows one phone number, a quotation another and a purchase order an old address, customers and suppliers are left guessing which is current, and every correction has to be made document by document.
For a GST-registered business, the GSTIN is the detail that must be exactly right. It has 15 characters: a two-digit state code, your ten-character PAN, an entity number, the letter Z by default and a check character. Business customers rely on the GSTIN printed on your bill when they claim input tax credit, so one wrong character can hold up their claim and bring the bill back to you for correction. Copy it from your registration certificate rather than typing it from memory.
Setu's Business Profile also sets up your workspace. If this device has no Setu workspace yet, saving the profile creates one, so the Receipt Generator, Quotation Generator or Price Label Printer can be the first Setu tool you use, not only the POS. The currency you choose here also becomes the default for Setu's calculators, so they show amounts in the same currency as your documents.
What the Business Profile does
Each tool asks first
Tools such as the Receipt Generator use your profile only after you press Use workspace on them once, and each remembers that choice on this device.
Live preview
A preview card shows your logo, name, address, phone, email and GSTIN as you type, so you can catch a typo before saving.
UPI ID on shared documents
Save your UPI ID once, and rupee documents you share as a link, such as quotations, can offer the customer a UPI payment option.
Logo resized for you
Large logo files are scaled down to a small image before saving, so your workspace stays light.
Any currency
Choose from a full list of world currencies, each shown with its symbol. Indian rupee is selected by default.
Timezone detected
Your device's timezone is filled in automatically, and you can change it if the business runs elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions
So you never type your details twice. Your name, GSTIN, logo and address are saved once on this device, and every Setu tool — POS, invoices, receipts, labels — fills them in automatically.
In your browser on your device, in your private Setu workspace. No signup, no cloud, and you can export or delete it any time.
No. Only the business name is required. If you are not registered under GST, leave the GSTIN / Tax number field empty; printed receipts, quotations and purchase orders skip the GSTIN line when it is blank. You can add the number later, once you register, and the tools will start printing it on new documents.
Open the Business Profile again. Your saved details load into the form, so change what you need and press Save changes. Tools connected to your workspace read the updated details the next time they open, so new receipts, quotations and other documents use them. Documents you have already printed or shared keep the old details.
Not by itself. The profile is saved in this browser on this device, so another phone, computer or browser starts empty. The Browser POS settings have a Backup & restore section that exports this browser's Setu data, including the profile, to a JSON file you can restore in the Browser POS on the other device. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes the profile, so keep a recent backup.
The profile holds one business per browser, and saving replaces the previous details. To run two shops, use a separate browser profile, a different browser or a separate device for each shop, so each one keeps its own name, GSTIN, products and records.
